Recreation Commission Budget Review:
Provided by the Kansas Department of Administration Municipal Services Team (Roger Basinger and Rogers Brazier).  They will give an in-depth review of the budgeting process and any updates from the 2015 Legislative Session regarding Recreation Commission budgets.

Financial Management
To familiarize the participants with the financial management of the park and recreation agency, including the budget process, fiscal controls, cost analysis, and to make the student aware that each member of the agency has both a stake in, and responsibility for, the prudent fiscal management of his or her agency.

10:45am-12:15pm. Words on Play This program highlights many research-based play topics that will further inspire and empower communities to advocate for play for creating a healthier society.  Play topics include development, learning, health and wellness, and social capital.

1:00-2:15pm  Building Inclusive Communities through Play  
Providing inclusive play opportunities for people of all ages and abilities is critical for promoting play, healthy physical activity, and learning. Our two unique inclusive programs, Me2 and 2PlayTogether, not only create outdoor play environments that implement best practice design principles, they take inclusive play to the next level by providing outdoor programming to ensure meaningful play for children of all abilities.
