Join the Park Branch on September 28, 2022 from 9:00am-3:00pm for the Multi-Use nonpaved Trail Development and Maintenance Workshop. During this workshop, you will learn and receive guidance about nonpaved trails, from concept to construction. It will take place at the Council Grove Recreation and Event Center (Armory)- Council Grove, KS, 1020 Old Hwy 56.

Schedule:

9:15am: Check-in
9:30am – 10:30am: Introduction, Challenges, Design, Best Practices
10:30am – 10:45am: Break
10:45am – 11:45am: Maintenance, Vegetation Management
11:45am – 12:30pm: Lunch (provided) and Networking
12:30pm – 1:00pm: Travel to location 1
1:00pm – 1:30pm: Onsite Location 1
1:30pm - 2:00pm: Travel between location 1 and location 2
2:00pm - 2:30pm: Onsite location 2
2:30pm - 3:00pm: Travel to Armory, wrap up

* The on-site portion at Flint Hills Trail State Park will include possible trail walking
