The KRPA Recreation Commission Budget and More Workshop in Topeka, KS on May 15, 2013 at the Jayhawk Tower - Florentine Room, 700 SW Jackson Street, Topeka, KS, will review the budgeting process for Recreation Commissions.

The morning session will be provided by the Kansas Department of Administration Municipal Services Team (Roger Basinger and Rogers Brazier). They will give an in-depth review of the budgeting process and any updates from the 2013 Legislative Session regarding Recreation Commission budgets.

The afternoon session will be provided by Jeanne Kelly, State of Kansas Non State Employer Group Health Plan on: Choosing Your Health Benefits…..State Employee Health Insurance-The Other Option Health care policy is a difficult process for both the employer and employee. Jeanne Kelly, representative from the State of Kansas Non-State Employers Group Health Plan will develop a road map to navigate through a new health plan option available to Recreation Commissions and will provide a refresher course for city and county departments. Items to be covered include the application process, timelines, health plan comparisons, premiums costs, and group health plan designs. It is worth your time to get answers to your questions on the State of Kansas Employee Health Insurance-the other health insurance option!
